Let's face it, cooking is not just the top priority in the lifestyle of every man, woman or child on earth. In fact, many people realize that cooking is an important thing in their lives. This means we often live off prepared foods and packaged ingredients rather than spending time preparing healthy meals for our family and personal enjoyment.
Healthy food preparation is often difficult because many people don't want to take the time to prepare and plan meals that our families don't eat. At the same time, we want our families to be healthy, which is why we feel obligated to learn (and, unfortunately, in some cases despise) new ways of preparing healthy meals for the whole family.
Salad wrap. This delicious easy lunch can be made ahead of time with the filling, so simply reheat the filling and roll up when ready to serve. It's a fun lunch to share with your kids, and it also teaches them that salads have a lot more variety than people often praise. Many people opt for teriyaki-style fillings; My family loves taco toppings for salad rolls. You are free to think of your favorite filler.

DIY instructions ~ Parsnips out of the box ~
- Peel and clean the parsnips and cut the large roots in half. Remove seeds and chop 1/2 red pepper. Take 3-4 sprigs of fresh thyme, cut them into pieces and mix with 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup, 1 teaspoon salt and 3-4 tablespoons olive oil.
- Mix the parsnips with the butter syrup and place on a baking sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees on the second rack from the bottom for 35-40 minutes, until the vegetables are soft. (Convection is not recommended.) Turn the pieces occasionally and baste them with the butter syrup.
- About 10 minutes. Drizzle the roots with 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and 3 tablespoons of crushed walnuts before finishing cooking. I caramelized once, chopped walnuts and 1 tbsp brown sugar, sprinkled them until caramelized and put them under the frying pan for 5 minutes. *be careful* it can burn quickly! If you don't want it to be too sweet, don't add sugar and don't fry.
